Thin Rati Oo
Campus Life, International Students, Pre-Law
Gabe looks dashing wearing a black suit and red tie. He's standing in front of bright green foliage, and we can make out the faintest outline of a modern building in the background.

Thin Rati Oo (သင်းရတီဦး) is a second-year first-gen majoring in Public Health, minoring in Public Policy and Data Science at UC Berkeley.

Shuo qian dao wan, buru zuoshi yijian—a proverb that she grew up with, a proverb that she lives by, a proverb that she proselytizes.  From picking up trash someone left behind to organizing successful health camps for hospitalized children to joining the roaring protests against the coup in her country, Myanmar, she has been taking actions, even if they are small, for the things she believes in — even if it involves challenging the status quo.

Her time in the ASUC is her desire to continue making a change during her time at Cal and giving back to the community as much as she can—making a positive impact for everyone. Running on three main platforms (Campus Life, International Students and Pre-Law), Thin has been working collaboratively with everyone to increase accessibility of resources and opportunities as well as drafting resolutions directed towards DEIBJ, one of her core values.

Outside of ASUC, Thin enjoys thrifting, painting and watching unsolved true crimes. One of her dreams is to open a cute café that has a flower shop in it !
