The ASUC's primary function is to serve students through advocating for students needs, representing students on campus, and providing them with resources and programming to enhance the UC Berkeley experience.

ASUC supports over 900 student organizations by providing funding, space, and other student organization services.

ASUC is a group of passionate elected and appointed officials, as well as hired interns and staff who represent Berkeley's large and diverse student population.

The Associated Students of the University of California is the official representative organization of students at UC Berkeley. Founded in 1887, we are one of the largest and most autonomous students associations in the nation. We are passionate about student voice and student self-governance on the UC Berkeley campus and throughout our communities. The ASUC is 501(c)3 nonprofit public charitable organization.
