Developing Technologies that Provide Greater Safety and Expand Student Capabilities
Gabe looks dashing wearing a black suit and red tie. He's standing in front of bright green foliage, and we can make out the faintest outline of a modern building in the background.

About

The Chief Technology Officer leads development of new technology created to serve all students at UC Berkeley.

Sukhamrit is a third-year student, studying EECS and Business Administration. Before becoming the ASUC Chief Technology Officer, he was a part of OCTO under the Berkeley Mobile team. He had been a part of the team ever since the beginning of his Freshman year, going from a mobile developer to the lead developer, and finally to the Berkeley Mobile Product Manager, working closely with the former Chief Technology Officers. Much of the work he did involved implementing critical student safety features and creating a centralized hub for all information related to UC Berkeley student life within the Berkeley Mobile app. Now as the Chief Technology Officer, he plans to continue the development of current well-used products such as Berkeleytime and Berkeley Mobile, as well as bring new solutions to the UC Berkeley students that utilize cutting-edge technologies to elevate access to information and resources. Apart from his technical side, Sukhamrit is an avid musician who plays the Indian-Classical Violin and the Alto Saxophone. He is also a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo and loves to play Soccer.
