Yasamin Hatefi is the only Senator who is a transfer-student in the 2022-2023 Senate class. She’s majoring in Sociology and pursuing a minor in Public Policy. During her first year at Cal, she served as Chief of Staff to the ASUC Transfer Student Representative. As a first-generation, low-income, disabled, Iranian transfer-student, Yasamin’s office will address the needs of transfer, nontraditional, DSP, and other underrepresented students at UC Berkeley. In addition to executing initiatives that highlight the physical and mental wellbeing of UC Berkeley students.
