About

The Transfer Student Representative is the official voice of transfer students within the ASUC.

Gabriel Alfaro is currently a senior at Cal and the 2nd Transfer Student Representative to be elected. He transferred to Cal as a spring admit from Mt. San Antonio College in the LA area. He is a Political Science major who loves politics and working in government more generally. He has a extensive background in Student government and working in politics, having run well over 15 political campaigns ranging from mayoral races and state races, and having served on the Mt. SAC Board of Trustees as the Student Trustee and as the Executive Vice President of the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC), the statewide student government for the Community College system. While at UC Berkeley he served as the President of the Latinx Student Association at Berkeley, as well as the Chief of Staff for ASUC Senator Liam Will, before being elected.
