The EVP chairs the ASUC Senate, manages internal affairs and operations, and oversees ASUC commercial activities.
Giancarlo Fernandez is the only first-year junior transfer student ever to become appointed as the Executive Vice President. He grew up in Torrance, California, and was the Student Body President of El Camino College. As a first-generation college student he knows the impact a sense of belonging plays in the lives of students. He spearheaded the establishment of a Social Justice Center and the acquisition of software that enhanced student engagement by centralizing opportunities towards leadership development. Giancarlo is passionate about working on initiatives that uplift underserved student populations. As EVP his mission is to help cultivate an environment internally within ASUC that is synonymous with collaboration and respect. In his free time, he enjoys dining at new restaurants and playing soccer, video games, and chess.
