Introduction
SENATOR
Isha Chander
Environmental Justice & Sustainability, Civic Engagement & Service, Improving Student Services, South Asian Community
Gabe looks dashing wearing a black suit and red tie. He's standing in front of bright green foliage, and we can make out the faintest outline of a modern building in the background.

About

During the Free Speech Movement, ASUC Senators spearheaded the charge to protect student rights. Isha is passionate about reconnecting with the roots of the institution to shape it into a powerful force for collective advocacy when it comes to protecting students and their rights. Notably, environmentalism has been a key component of Berkeley’s academic and activist focuses since the founding of the ESPM department in 1868. Isha intends to continue the legacy of activism in her Senate office. Our campus has a long way to go when it comes to addressing issues of sustainability and improving services that affect us all. Isha was elected to the Senate to reimagine student life, push for a greener campus, and transform the ASUC to better address burgeoning issues.
