Carlos ran for ASUC senate during his first year at UC Berkeley, although he was a first year it did not stop him. He got heavily involved in Latine and QT+ organizations, most of which where his ASUC platforms fall under.

Carlos, during his time as an ASUC senator wants to achieve 3 main projects: Latine conference/leadership, LGBTQIA+ support, and highlight grants and scholarship opportunities for all students. He takes a lot of pride from his hometown, Santa Maria, CA where he grew in his leadership capabilities which he now hopes to apply in the Berkeley community.
