Sydnee Thy

The Office of the Executive Vice President supports student organizing in all spheres.

Hello there! My name is Sydnee Thy and I will be serving as the ASUC Executive Vice President for the 2026-2027 school year!

This role essentially functions as the Chief Operations Officer of the Association, where I serve as the Chair of the ASUC Senate and oversee our internal operations. Our Office is focused on providing basic needs support for students; increasing civic engagement opportunities; showcasing multicultural representation; supporting our first-generation, non-traditional, and transfer students; and bringing transparency to ASUC processes.

Prior to this role, I served as the Southeast Asian community-endorsed ASUC Senator for the 2025-2026 school year. In this role I was able to provide retention and political education opportunities to the Southeast Asian community at Cal, which deeply informed the way I lead in this new role as Executive Vice President. At the center of everything I do is hope, hope to create a campus that everyone feels serves them.
