The role of the ASUC President is to uplift, unify and empower our campus community by acting as the bridge between students and campus administration.
Margaret is a 4th year studying Legal Studies and African American Studies. She has been a member of the ASUC for four years. She started as an associate in the Office of the President then shifted to work under the Black community senator. As President she has shifted her focus to support all students at UC Berkeley. ASUC transparency, weapons divestment, cross-cultural collaboration, basic needs & housing security, and developing a free speech task force are just a few of her priorities this year. With thirteen departments and 131 staff she plans to fight for and defend the rights of all students at Cal.
