The Office of the Executive Vice President supports student organizing in all spheres.
The office is a supportive partner and ally to the ASUC Senate, facilitating the success of the Senate’s collective vision while assisting with its outreach and visibility. Offering financial and networking resources, leadership development, and empowerment opportunities, we strive to provide students with an environment that allows them to create positive change in their areas of their interest. We work to build a more vibrant and inclusive campus community through collaborative events, coalition building, providing access to space and funding resources, and engaging as many students as possible in major campus decisions. Our hope to is to move towards a better UC Berkeley founded on values of inclusivity and thriving student life.
This year, EVP Isha Chander was elected to the role to lead projects to support transfer & nontraditional students, environmental justice initiatives, students’ rights, and basic needs availability; improve access to spaces, funding, and services on campus that improve the well-being of students and the success of student clubs; process and Approve contracts between the ASUC and the University/ external organizations (such as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times subscriptions; focus on connecting frequently with clubs and community caucuses; and continue all of her advocacy from her term as an ASUC Senator.
