Office of Senator Dones: Social Media Coordinator

The Communications Department will be in charge of all our Office’s online platforms including our website, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. This team will also be responsible for creating media including graphics and video and will serve as liaison to the press including the Daily Californian. The website will need to be updated often with our monthly newsletters, office updates, and events in our campus community. All social media platforms will be active throughout the academic year.



Ability to take charge, strong organizational skills in combination with time management abilities, good interpersonal skills, experience leading social media pages and creating posts for it, Canva/Adobe/editing skills



  • Developing social media posts
  • Creating timelines for posts going on at minimum 1 week in advance so that it can be gone over with the Communication Director
  • Always remaining in contact with the Director so that everything runs smoothly
  • In charge of social media accounts alongside Communications Director



  • <8 hours/week
  • Required to attend all weekly staff meetings and department breakout sessions
