Office of Senator Dones: Mental Health Coordinator
Description

The Campus Community Department will center the various non-academic needs of students on campus, such as housing and mental health. The department will work directly to support various community organizations and student-led initiatives already doing this work.

 

Qualifications

Intimate understanding of resources available to students including but not limited to PATH to Care, Tang Center/CAPS, etc., experience in mental health prefered, public speaking skills, writing skills, strong organizational & time management skills, ability to multitask, general interpersonal skills, etc.

 

Responsibilities

  • Produce resources for students struggling with mental health
  • Coordinate with the Communications Department to engage students on mental health 
  • Organize peer support and mentorship program for undergraduate students
  • Coordinate with members of the ASUC Mental Health Commission
  • Assist the Legislative Department in crafting legislation related to mental health among students
  • Assist the CC Department on all other projects

 

Commitment

  • < 6 hours/week
  • Required to attend all weekly staff meetings and CC Department breakout sessions
