Office of Senator Dones: Administrative Advocacy Intern
Description

The Administrative Advocacy Department will work to address students’ academic and university-related needs as well as our core platform goals like environmental justice and academic accessibility within the campus administration. This department’s focus will be centering Black and other marginalized students in University decision-making. The Administrative Advocacy Department will work closely with the ASUC Department of Academic Affairs to achieve our platform of restorative equity within the University administration.

 

Qualifications

Interest in policy or advocacy work and excellent writing skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Take notes during and log the minutes of all weekly AA Department meetings
  • Make notes available to AA Department and Chief of Staff Ullman weekly
  • Participation in office mentorship program (as a mentee)
  • Additional responsibilities at the discretion of AA Director

 

Commitment

  • < 4 hours/week
  • Required to attend all weekly AA Department breakout sessions
