Office of Senator Dones: Administrative Advocacy Director
Description

The Administrative Advocacy Department will work to address students’ academic and university-related needs as well as our core platform goals like environmental justice and academic accessibility within the campus administration. This department’s focus will be centering Black and other marginalized students in University decision-making. The Administrative Advocacy Department will work closely with the ASUC Department of Academic Affairs to achieve our platform of restorative equity within the University administration.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a team, public speaking background, excellent writing skills, strong organizational & time management skills, ability to multitask, general interpersonal skills, etc.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly AA Department meetings
  • Delegate tasks to AA Associates, Coordinators, and Interns
  • Remain up-to-date on campus administration activities
  • Release statements on current University-related events
  • Attend campus committee meetings if necessary (2 per semester max)

 

Commitment

  • < 10 hours/week
  • Required to attend all weekly staff meetings and department breakout sessions
