Progressives at Cal is a new political party founded by socialist student organizers, with a guiding political project of building a student government ready to fight the University’s profit-driven attacks on our education.

We believe that the ASUC, as elected representatives of the student body, should not be complacent as UC Berkeley continues to disregard the needs of our student community, especially of those student populations most marginalized and vulnerable. The University continues to raise our tuition, increase the cost of living, and cut our student services in the name of neoliberal austerity. We deserve better, and we’re willing to fight for it.
