Description

Thank you for your interest in the ASUC Office of the Chief Technology Officer (aka OCTO). OCTO was created in order to provide the general Berkeley community with access to more on-campus technology resources. Since our inception, we have been able to provide our fellow Bears with quality software products. Starting with just a handful of developers and a single mobile application that was available only on iOS, we have grown to a full-fledged division of the ASUC with over 30 talented members. Our office currently has four products: Berkeley Mobile (iOS and Android), BerkeleyTime, and Beehive. Our staff handles everything from frontend and backend development to marketing, design, and product management. For Fall 2019, we are hiring staff members for design, marketing, and software. Because our roles vary wildly in their requirements and expectations, we do not have explicit job descriptions available just yet—the best way to learn more is to come talk to us at one of our infosessions this fall (dates TBD)! That said, it certainly will not hurt to submit your application early and learn more later, as we will keep your email address and update you with new information as it becomes available.
