The ASUC Office of Academic Affairs, under the leadership of ASUC Academic Affairs Vice President (AAVP) James Weichert, is the primary advocacy arm for the UC Berkeley undergraduate student body for matters relating to academic and campus affairs. The responsibilities of the office include: (1) advocacy and policy work in front of the Berkeley Academic Senate and the campus administration; (2) leadership and oversight of campus budget priorities and the student fee ecosystem; (3) leadership and coordination of student academic priorities and perspectives across all UC campuses; (4) internal ASUC leadership and reform efforts to increase the accessibility and transparency of Berkeley’s student government; and (5) events and initiatives related to student mental health and wellbeing.
We're looking for passionate students who are interested in learning more about campus advocacy and who are ready to improve the academic experience at Berkeley. There is no prior ASUC or advocacy experience necessary!
The Office is conducting rolling applications throughout the summer for the following positions:
