The student hired for this position will be the Administrative Assistant for the ASUC Administrative Office, the non-partisan office that is responsible for various administrative, financial, and receptionist duties for the ASUC (Associated Students of the University of California, UC Berkeley’s Student Government). The new hires will be trained at the beginning of the Fall 2022 semester. These students will report to the Assistant Director for Student Government Advising and Leadership Development (ASUC) within the LEAD Center

The duties of the ASUC Administrative Assistants are split between receptionist duties and an assigned focus area. (8-15 hours/week)
General Receptionist Responsibilities include:
Administrative Assistant’s focus areas will be decided upon during the Fall Training based off experience, preferences, and opportunities for growth

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Organizational & time management skills
- ASUC, GA, and/or LEAD Center Experience Preferred
- Professional demeanor
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Quick learner
- Flexibility and ability to respond quickly in a fast moving environment
- Proactive attitude
- Attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Excel and Google Drive preferred
- Customer service job experience preferred
- Experience working with a team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat
- Security Background check
- One year minimum commitment
- Training sessions in the beginning of each semester
- Cannot hold another position in a partisan office of the ASUC
