The Elections Council aims to provide an equitable election for the students of UC Berkeley, while also aiming to create a safe space for candidates to run. It’s our job to ensure that all candidates get equal opportunities to run and to provide an accessible platform for students to vote for their representatives.
Joining the Elections Council is a great way to take on a leadership role at Cal and get more involved with the ASUC. The positions available will provide students with valuable hands-on experience with governance and legislative analysis.
The Assistant Elections Chair’s duty will be to assist the Elections Council Chair and to perform the duties of the Elections Council Chair in the event of a temporary absence. More information can be found in the bylaws. The approximate time commitment stands at 6-8 hours per week.
Priority will be given to applicants who apply by January 27, 2023.
