Personal Bio
Major: BA Political Economy 2010
Biography: This is my third year serving the ASUC. I still believe that ASUC is the organization with the greatest potential to make a difference on campus for the better, and I'm proud to represent the student government and the student body through this position. Besides ASUC I am actively involved in community service, and I am a Notary Public.
Hometown: Santa Barbara, CA
Your favorite thing about Cal: The fact that every student I speak to is involved on campus or in their community in some way. I'm proud to be part of this Berkeley culture.
DEPARTMENT AND OVERVIEW
The Secretariat is comprised of a Senate Office Manager and typically 4-6 Senate Secretaries. We are ASUC Auxiliary staff who advise the student government offices and handle general office tasks on the second floor of Eshleman. You will often see us staffing the front desk when you visit the second floor.
We have many responsibilities, some of which include: budgeting for student government offices and programs; handling reimbursements and other financial transactions for student government offices and programs, Senate Bills and Grants; maintenance of the front desk, and common areas including Senate Chamber, Senate Lounge, and June Jordan Room; handling equipment rentals (including speakers, projectors, and extension cord) and room reservations requests (for Senate Chamber and Senate Lounge) for ASUC student government and ASUC-sponsored student groups; updating and distributing important ASUC documentation such as Senate Agendas, Senate Bills, Constitution & By-Laws, and handling general campus and public questions.

GOALS
My long‐term goals in office this year are to increase consistency, communication, transparency, efficiency, and community‐building in the ASUC. I want to increase ASUC awareness so the campus and general public understand the roles and responsibilities of the ASUC and the potential our student government has in making a difference in the lives of students in Berkeley and across the nation.
