- ASUC prepares for the new incoming class of 2014 with Caltopia, Calapalooza, and a Pillowfight
- The Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), is preparing a variety of activities and events in August to welcome students to the University of California, Berkeley. These events will be used to raise awareness about the programs and resources the ASUC offers and providing students an opportunity to get involved on campus.
- Two new vendors opening in Bear’s Lair Food Court
- Starting this Fall, the Bear's Lair Food Court located in Lower Sproul Plaza will feature two new vendors, Saigon Eats and Subway.
- UC Office of the President Approves the Lower Sproul Plaza Fee
- University of California President Mark Yudof approved the Lower Sproul Plaza (LSP) Fee last Tuesday. This fee will become part of the UC Berkeley Campus Fee starting Fall 2010 and revenues generated from this fee allow for the revitalization of programs and facilities.
- MLK Jr. Student Union closes for seismic retrofit construction
- The Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Student Union has closed for retrofitting and is scheduled to reopen October 2010.
- ASUC leadership successfully signs the Memorandum of Understanding to keep the Lower Sproul Plaza Project on schedule
- On June 29, 2010, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between ASUC President Noah Stern and Chancellor Robert Birgeneau to finalize details for the Lower Sproul Project.
