The Judicial Council of the Association is vested with the judicial authority of the Association. The council's authority extends to all judicial cases arising under the Constitution, the ASUC By-Laws, official actions of ASUC executive officers, employees, the Senate, and any matters delegated to the council by the ASUC Senate or the Constitution.

Erica Furer - Chair
Erica Furer is a Legal Studies major and Public Policy minor, graduating in May of 2012. Her background in law includes internships with JusticeCorps of America, Berkeley Law Death Penalty Clinic, working at various law firms, and serving as the Co-President of the Berkeley Legal Studies Association. She is currently writing an Honors Thesis on the intersection of Law, Public Policy, and Technology. She served as an Associate Justice last year and is the Chair for the 2011-2012 term.
Emrin Dhatt - Assistant Chair
Emrin Dhatt is a Political Science major pursuing minors in Public Policy and Disability Studies, graduating in May of 2013. Over her college years, she has accumulated a strong interest in law by doing legal research, working in an elder law firm, and interning at the Berkeley Law Death Penalty Clinic. Overall, her goal for the term is to stay an impartial adjudicator in order to uphold the values set forth by the students.

Hinh Tran - Associate Justice
Hinh Tran is a Political Economy major and Public Policy minor, graduating in May of 2013. He is an active member of Berkeley Model United Nations. This is his second term on the Judicial Council.

Ryan Mattison - Associate Justice
Ryan Mattison is majoring in History and Public Health, graduating in May of 2013. He is also a member of Berkeley Model United Nations, Theater for Charity, JusticeCorps of America, and an employee of the Recreational Sports Facility. He is incredibly excited to serve his campus community as a member of the Judicial Council for the next two years!

Suneeta Israni - Associate Justice
Suneeta Israni is pursuing a Psychology major and Public Policy minor, graduating in May of 2013. She is a prospective MPP and JD candidate who is highly motivated to build a successful career in the legal sphere with special attention given to the educational, healthcare, and disability-related fields. Currently, she is an Undergraduate research assistant, working for the Research Administration and Compliance Office at UC Berkeley, is Director of Internal Development for the not-for-profit organization Project RISHI, and a Development Fellow at non-profit GO Public Schools.
Stephanie Chamberlain - Associate Justice
Stephanie Chamberlain is a first year undergraduate student intending to major in Asian Studies with a focus in Korea and China. She is the Residence Hall Assembly Representative for Ehrman Hall in Unit II, and will be an RA in Unit II starting in the fall of 2012. She is a part of the Berkeley Student Journal of Asian Studies and has interests in politics, government, and law. Stephanie intends to work in government after attending graduate school.

Scott Lara - Associate Justice
Scott Lara is a Second Year Law Student at Berkeley Law. He earned his BA in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego. He is looking forward to helping make the Cal campus a better place.

Abraham Escareno - Associate Justice
Abraham Escareno is a student at Berkeley Law, graduating in May of 2012. In 2006, he graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy. After completing his undergraduate education, he worked with a non-profit law firm in Maryland for a few years and came back to Berkeley in the Fall of 2009 for law school.
